Make A Homemade Deodorant Spray (That Really Works!)
Massage can take you out of your daily whirlwind while soothing your sore muscles and relaxing your stressed-out mind - and it`s also an intimate way to bond and connect with your loved ones. More corn starch means more wetness control; more baking soda means more odor control but can cause burning and rashes; and your butters may be harder or softer than mine, so adjust accordingly. For bad odour, dandruff, fleas, ticks & mites, I have a tried & tested recipe- mix equal amounts of neem oil & coconut oil (plain coconut oil will do, not the virgin one). Refined coconut oil has been heated and processed, thereby destroying many of the oil`s powerful healing properties. I don`t have trouble with soap made with coconut oil, but of course in soap, the fat has been largely saponified. I don`t have any coconut oil right now but I`ll be heading out for errands tomorrow & add it to the list.
The cool thing about all the natural deodorants is that many things work as antibacterials, so whenever I find myself in a place where I need some deodorizing I can just look in the kitchen cupboards and often find coconut oil, baking soda, essential oils, alcohol, vanilla, honey etc.
It won`t be as solid as a conventional deodorant stick, so don`t twist it up very high before using it. Twist it just high enough (just a few millimeters, or 1/8 or 1/6 of an inch above the rim) to get what you need, but higher than that and you might smush some of it onto the sides.
Many people quickly make a couple of straight swipes and go. The best method, whether using deodorant or antiperspirant, is to slow down and be sure to give the entire underarm area a uniform coat of product (for men, that means applying enough pressure how to make deodorant spray get through the hair that most guys have in their underarms).
Note: The first recipe below is the new more stable version with beeswax added, and the second recipe is the original. I can`t be sure of course, but adding an essential oil like lavender, jasmine, or tea tree oil would be a good start for experimenting! The stick looks convenient, but you wouldn`t be able to dampen the soda and get rid of the grit because of the oil. Single-ingredient products, such as coconut oil, Shea butter or various clays, are superb products. All I do is squeeze the juice out of a lemon, strain it, and put it in a spray bottle.
